I find it interesting and really different, but you won't ever see me there! That is going to be outrageous to afford!

I'm happy to go with "different".
It's not likely I'll ever be here either
and I don't mind - it doesn't appeal to me.
It has a certain "EEEWWW!" quality for me.
(Hell if I know.)

I'd have to agree with Ja'aj. Not only is it over-extravegant, it seems quite wasteful from both an economic and an environmental viewpoint.

Tater, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Yup. A "conspicuous, tasteless display of wealth".
Particularly as the rest of the country is not
doing well, re: food, etc. *tsk* [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I see the point of over extravagant and all, but isn't that what a lot of attractions, resorts, etc.. are all about? I think that's what makes it interesting and will attract the wealthy? It's not my idea of a place to live, but I can see many will be wanting to be there.
Roxanna, I don't know much about the place, but it would definitely be a place movie stars and such would go. It would take that type.. people with lots of money to spend... to go there.

"We" already have Las Vegas. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I covers all of "it" -from extravagant to outrageous -
and it's in the U.S.
(I've become "anti-Arab" of 'late'. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])

"They" are welcome to it - as long as "they" keep it there.

Odd... we have an abundant waste of money here in the U.S. too and people could definitely use it for much better purposes.
I think that's why ANYWHERE you go, there are rich and over extravagant and there are poor and hungry.

If this place had been made here, would it have made a difference?

Good to see you, Tithe! Hope you're doing well. And I couldn't have said it better, or more concisely, myself.
