Yard and garden decorations

Post by Breezey Breezey on Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:00 am

There are so many different kinds of decorations for yards and gardens ranging from Gnomes to butterflies to precious moments characters...
Do you have anything in particular you decorate with? Seems I just buy whatever I like. lol I have a variety... butterflies, turtles, precious moments ones that have veggies in carts, etc...

WOW, that sounds nice Breezey. I never got into decorations , I was too busy working in the garden and manicuring my trees. What I do like are the small Budda Statues, I am not into Buddism at all but I like the statue, its peaceful to look at. We have a turtle here, thats all.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I don't particularly mind buddahs, Ron, except my neighbor Snowblower man has a buddah fountain in his front yard, along with a lot of tacky crap. The A hasn't worked for me, let me try again.

You're supposed to click on the last icon, the one with the two A's, and then just paste the image URL in the reply box? Cause that doesn't work for me, unless I'm missing something. It's always worked when I paste it using the image icon, like this:

I got you buddy, understandable. on the second line is the last A, just click on it and leave the A alone, then its so easy to copy and paste. I don't need the image or host an image, the A does it all.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Easy.

Thanks Roxy, if you put them in the right place they look good. What I really miss is my hummingbird's and the feeder. In Calif. we had tons of humminbirds and our feeder fed 4 or 6 I forget but it would be full of hummers all feeding at once. It was so cool.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Breezey, can you please explain exactly what you are doing? Not that it really matters much, since it's just as easy to click on the image icon and paste there as it is to click on the A and then pasting, but I'm curious why it works for you and not for me.

I click on the very last icon. It now shows up in red... to let me know it's the one I am using. I just copy a picture and paste it in here.

Re: Yard and garden decorations

Okay, I think I figured out what it is that's going on. I have always been able to copy and paste images using the image icon. Apparently some of you haven't. When I signed up, on my profile under preferences, there are several boxes to either check or uncheck. One of them says "Always allow bbCode". I have the "yes" box checked, and always have. Just now I went back and unchecked it to see what would happen, and I found that I could not use the image icon to post an image, unless I have that box marked "yes'. I think if you don't have it checked, then that A/A icon is a way around it.

My BBcode is set at yes at all times. You once asked what that was. From information I have gathered, it is a different type of HTML... maybe a little more advanced.
The problem with helping each person for copy paste is the fact that all computers aren't set up the same and browsers won't interact the same for each person. So... some of it becomes trial and error until each of us figures out what works and what doesn't.
When I use IE... everything is totally different.

I have also noticed that some pictures refuse to be copied and pasted. I believe that might have something to do with how they were obtained for posting? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I can guess at that! lol
