It is Spring here in Australia.. and nature has come to life once again to display her beauty in blossom, daffodils, camellias, new growth on the trees, bees buzzing, etc.

First, YAY! You did it! lol

I pretty much love spring, summer and fall... I just don't deal well with the really cold and winter... it gets too cold to be outside much and there are no flowers or plants growing and the trees are bare.
I love green grass, trees full of leaves, plants springing from the ground, gardens growing, time spent outside in games or whatever...  love shower

I am not so mad on the cold weather either. We have had some lovely days, but the past few have been quite chilly again.. More good weather forecast later in the week. I am missing my garden terribly but have been doing some walks, when the weather allows it, and checking out what is growing in Mum's neighbourhood. flower flower flower

Does your mom have a garden?
Do you recognize most things you see growing while on your walks?

Hmmm! I need to add some garden smileys! lol

Mum has a small garden at her unit in town. She has always had a garden as long as I can remember. I used to love watching her while out in the garden, as a child. She would always be humming to herself as she worked.. Guess I take after her in more things that I care to admit.. lol.
I do recognise many of the plants on my walks.. I even know quite a few of their botanical names.. Comes from learning about so many plants as we planted our own garden. They were like my babies.. and I could never forget my children's names.

HI!,
isn't spring wonderful? happy dance blossoms and new things bobbing up everywhere.
My favourite season, maybe because I was born in spring (almost) sunny

I like all the seasons, for different reasons.

Spring, probably most of all, for all the lovely shades of color the new growth brings, the warmer temperatures, sunshine, and the promise of good things to come.

Summer for the beautiful weather, vacations, cookouts and baseball games.

Fall for the beautiful colored foliage.

And winter for the quiet stillness of a snow covered view, and the promise of rebirth yet to come.

That sounds great tater ,4 well defined seasons .We do have 4 seasons here ,but winters are not the lovely expanse of white snow, it's green grass ! so nice to see green hills after the brown of a hot dry practically rainless summer .

That's true Roxy, your weather patterns as far as precipitation are more or less the opposite of ours here on the east coast of the U.S.; we get much more rain in the summer, especially in the form of thunderstorms, than we get in the winter, whether it be rain, snow, sleet or ice.

I believe your weather is more similar to what we get here on the west coast, with much more rain in the late fall through early spring, and a dry, hot summer.

I still have trouble getting my head around the fact that Spring is about to do just that "down South" while we're at the other end of the year "up North". At least its mild at the moment and I havent resorted to my cold weather garb. I can see our trees are going to drop another pile of leaves the moment my back is turned.

As far as knowing the names of plants, I havent a clue, I just stick them in if they look as if they will be happy in a space that fits. Sadly, Im told, most of them are weeds!

What is a weed? Many different ideas and opinions... to me... a weed is anything you don't like or want. So... I have a lot of plants nobody else likes or wants. smile2
So far, everything is still growing well and it's nice weather.
