What is a Koo?

Post by P on Sat Jan 02, 2016 10:30 am

Koo

For those who have heard the story of the Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson the tone of Koo may already be set, and you may have some insight into Koo's fictional personality. Although they live a world apart I feel they may be distantly related in some way as there are some distinct facial similarities although their habitat is very different. Whereas the Gruffalo frequents the deep dark woods, Koo inhabits the imagination of children, and those superannuated children who never quite grew up!

Koo

Koo gets his name from a Scottish cow,
He is quite similar anyhow.
His koo like features are quite striking
But he can move around like proverbial lightening.
His hairy face isn't as ginger
But his horns are as long as a giants finger.
His body is covered in patent leather
(with black and white stripes)
He's quick on his hooves and as light as a feather.
(He sometimes wears long red and white hooped socks to keep his hooves warm)
His wings are huge, he can fly all day
But most of the time they are folded away.
He isn't at all easy to see
(it's those black and white stripes)
And his favorite drink is China blue tea.

You seemed confused. I hope this fills in some of the blanks.

So, P is married to a cow? Or is he calling his wife a cow? I'm confused too!

No.. P's wife is not a cow.. P is not calling his wife a cow.. KOO is a fictional cow that looks like a Scottish Highland cow. I don't know how this got to be associated with P's wife. How did this happen?
Koo is make believe.. but don't let Koo hear me say that. He thinks he is real. lol (-:

Glad that cleared that up.. Koo (the fictional cow) is able to travel to all the places I will never get to see. And then P tells me where he has travelled to.. and I get to see pics of their adventures together along with P's wife... I am not sure if she knows they have a cow travelling with them. lol Some pretty amazing places though.. and so different to here in Australia. Very interesting.

I always found it interesting that you say "so different to", while we would say "so different than"

Aren't we all a little crazy? If you don't have an imagination... you have lost something amazing.

I have an imagination, but I don't have a koo. As Bart Simpson would say, "Don't have a cow, man!"

Nutty as a fruit cake!!! lol
Imagination takes us to places we would otherwise never go.. lol... like having imaginary koos. It sure beats having to look after real cows anymore. No more cow Sh-t. Woo Hoo. I can see cows from where we are, but I don't have to look after them. I imagine this is the best of both worlds. Yafooey group smiley
