computer How often do you change the picture on your desktop? ... What is the image currently on your desktop? ... Do you choose seasonal-themed pictures or just something that appeals you your personality or mood?

dancing bunny I change mine about every week or so.
(Just keeps things interesting.)
Current picture is one I ran across yesterday:

Alright!.... my desktop picture is me and Tithe. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I don't ever change it.
Before that, it was the one you posted... a beautiful garden? area with a girl sitting by a tree. I have always loved that one. It use to be my background on my 360 page for a while and on stupid Funadvice.

rollonfloor ... Did you file it somewhere, and forget where? I'm glad to know someone else does stuff like that, too! taunt

I like pictures that seem to have a story behind them. As the saying goes ... "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Did I file it somewhere and forget? Jack... I have NEVER had any sort of system as to where things will land when I save them. Seems to be that whatever I was in last, is where a new saved picture goes. lol [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The picture you posted... I love that type a lot. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I change mine to suit me - sometime several times a day -
sometimes not for weeks.

This is my current background/wallpaper:

I use this one a lot - when streched it is quite pleasant. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I love the peaceful serenity of Oriental decor and gardens. I keep this one on almost all the time. I had another one, but lost it. The icons I line up along the sides.

That's a beautiful picture, Daisy!

Wow, I was reading the beginning of this thread, not realizing it was an older one, since it was on top of the current topics list, until I came upon Ron's post, and then it was sort of like deja-vu, just as I was thinking about how quickly time seems to have flown since 911, and how hard it is to believe that it's been 10 years...

Daisy, you wouldn't have known, but Ron was a dear friend of Breezey's who we had all gotten to know through this site. We lost the privilege of his company not very long after the post he made on this thread, and he has been missed greatly ever since. Yafooey group smiley

To answer your original question though, I had changed my background on a fairly regular basis until I sort of settled on my current one, which is a serene scene of a small lake, with a classic roman style building in the background and wildflowers in the foreground, which reminds me of a city park in Munich that I visited in 2000 with my brother.

Tater, I to was surprised stumbling on Rons little red car,I feel sad every time I see it, RIP Ron.It still amazes me how close we can feel to people we know, but have never met.
Love your Japanese picture Daisy,so serene, could get lost in it.
now to answer the question, I like to mainly use my own photos, seeng I have hundreds to choose from. Also, the best way to see them is as the back ground, viewed from the other side of the room, in some cases i can't believe i took it myself.god bless digital camreras and computers !!

Breezey, my ''save to'' pictures go straight to"my pictures,'' then it's just a matter of what to do with it. maybe you need to DO something , for that to work ?

I change mine a LOT!
It is usually one I came across that I like.
Doesn't have to be "seasonal"... although 'sometimes'
it is for the season I want! as opposed to the one we have.
THAT happens about this time of year. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The pic of the ruined... ?... "castle" is very cool!
(Bree should LIKE! that one. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Bree likes most things "Gothic".)

I tend to use pics of animals for my desktop.

It's cool, to go back and read through some of these older threads. I wish I had more time to do just that! If you like that gothic theme ... here is another view of the first pic that I posted (above). It's a different angle of the same shot. The title of it is "Magic Castle." I put my icons in a row at the top.

Who really has time for all that stuff? I barely have time to keep up with e-mails and THIS place! But, I guess you make time for the important stuff. lollipop

Here are a couple I have used, but I cannot get 3 others of my favorites, copy/pasted where I can send them. Oh, these don't show up very large here...one is the USS Constitution and the other is a lovely harbor.

Ha!! Got one of them....a favorite....moon over the N. Pole...it is a ,what do you call it?, a doctored photo.

This is from that Kagaya site. If I remember correctly, the title of it is "Blessings." Too bad, that site has been shut-down for a while. They have some great pictures. You can still find many of them, by doing an image search for "Kagaya."

Jack, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Hah. Like you could "monopolize" a thread with this bunch
present. LOTS! of strong personalities here. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I have a whole lot of "favorites" ... so 'none' really;
my attention span is limited and I'm attracted by shiny new objects.

The "Moon Over North Pole" is very cool! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Roxanna, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I would LOVE! to "buy someone a farm animal"... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(But ... NO MONEY!! ) - It's very sad! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I can more-easlily see that than buying someone a tractor.

Does anyone remember Sam Kinnison? Sam said,

"They don't need TRACTORS, people!
Nothing grows there ! IT'S A ***** ! DESERT!!
No one wants to LIVE THERE!!
Send them LUGGAGE! - so they can MOVE!! "

... or words to that effect... Sam was a very funny man -
with a dead-on perspective. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
