There are soooo MANY! amazing! guitarists...
Eric Clapton makes just-about anyone's list -(he heads mine.)
And Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Jimmy Page ... and then I can't decide.
Randy Rhoads , ...I think... but what about Stephen Via (wow!)
and Eddie Van Halen, Keith Richards, Lindsay Buckingham,
BOTH of the guys from ZZ Top (I can never! rememer either name! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])
Aaaaargh!

Who do you love?
If you can't remember names - list the group ar the music, please?

Tater,
Good group! there. It's really hard! to choose only 5.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]! You don't love JEFF BECK? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

(Yeah, I'm pretty-much aware that there aren't very many of us
who don't exactly adore Jimi's speed-metal sound.)
I did adore Jimi, though. Too cool. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] You do know that what's-his-name has tinnitus? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
For a long time, now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
All that WONDERFUL! music- and that's the thanks he gets
for the windmill.
Smokin' guitarist! ! (Literally. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])

Great story 'bout Jeff Beck re: Eric Clapton in Rolling Stone's
"100 All-Time Great Guitarists - Alive or Dead"

They interviewed Beck about who his heroes/inspirations were.
He listed a couple from where he began locally...
(I can't remember who's names they were) and said something about
always working on own his music but he was blown away by them.

So, they asked him about Clapton.
Jeff said he had never heard Eric play until well into the
'this is what I want to do' - they were both just getting started.
Then Clapton played at the ?(someplace in London) and Jeff went
to see/hear him.

Interviewer: "And... what did you think?"
Jeff Beck: "I thought I'd better find a day job."

I think (given who they are)
That! is the best compliment! I've ever heard. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Oh yes, I do think Jeff Beck should be on that list; I just didn't think of him at the time. Plus, it is tough to pick just five.

There sure are! Days later after one of these discissions
I'm still thinking, "Oh! And...! " and "HOW could I have
forgotten ...!"
